We have been funeral services for over 20 years to the Celio Military Hospital and with all the major law enforcement bodies in Italy and with the Italian Army, Air Force and Navy, as well as the Chiefs of Staff, especially for Italian servicemen dying abroad.
In 2003, in fact, we were called by the Italian Defence General Staff to organise the repatriation, lying in state in the Vittoriano, State Funeral and burial in the places of origin of the Italian victims of the attack in Nasirya, Iraq.
We performed the service with our own means and vehicles, except for the hiring of 19 cars from a rental company in Rome.
The lying in state in the Vittoriano was arranged, both internally and externally, by our staff and using our own materials: 240 m2 of red carpeting, post stands, rope barriers, chairs, tables for floral tributes, tables for books of condolence, curtains.
None of the services we provided for the State Funeral for the victims of Nasiriya was advertised. The hearses did not have our name and logo, the pens and condolence books did not feature our name. Everything was focused entirely on the event and we specifically instructed the newspapers not to mention our company.
We could have exploited the event – before, during and after – for publicity purposes, but we didn’t, nor have we ever mentioned it in our website, until today.
Since then we have arranged the funerals of all the Italian servicemen who died, whether in Nasiriya or Afghanistan. No other funeral directors have had this privilege. Thanks to our commitment and our flawless organisation we are unique in our industry.
